se.kirara – Kagura Aya [NSFW]

You may already know…or maybe you don’t, but I’m not a fan of eroge visual novels. Mainly because of censoring, I’ll talk about it once again in a later post. For now, all you need to know is that I decided to give eroge another shot since now I know what awaits me and can now be able to {more or less} read what’s going on.

se.kirara is a freely distributed eroge visual novel by Native. In short the main character is Saki who lives alone and attends High School with his childhood friends Yuu (the supah chef) and Izumi-nee (the elder sister type as you can tell). We follow him in is everyday life and make choices for him because he can’t do it for himself so he could end up with one of the girls. (Three are two other girls, Mana [has something up her ass], Nozomi [mysterious transfer student], and Aya [the class representative and THE BEST CHOICE].)

Kagura Aya is the rich girl, so of course she plays the violin ~_~

According to my Twitter archives, I started playing this June 06, 2010…I finished my first route just yesterday (July 16, 2010). Wow a whole month? Well, I was taken in by Touhou so yea…

Anyways, my first route ended up following Kagura Aya, the class representative who is good at practically everything…that of course, excludes cooking. Her route was really, um…perverted. She is really active! I think I saw about 5 or so H-scenes…maybe more I don’t remember since I started skipping them after the second one…I found H scenes boring. -_-

But there was this one H scene which I believe will the best H scene I WILL EVER SEE! Yes it’s so damn hilarious and funny that this will always be my favorite H scene ever. I don’t believe there will be one that will top this…seriously! Wanna know why? Here let me try summarize it.

So Saki gets sick. He’s completely out cold with a fever. Aya, who ran away from home and is staying with Saki (yeah they’ve done it before), finds him on the floor and completely panics. She has no idea what to do, she cannot call her parents or her friends since they’ll find out where she is staying at. And staying with a guy in a one room apartment is bad. So she took it upon herself to nurse him back to health. She tucks Saki into bed and runs to the pharmacy to get some medicine, in a panic she buys something that even the part time Mana had trouble handing over to her, suppositories.

See where this is going?

She returns to the apartment and was about to give Saki the medicine when she realized what she was holding in her hands…she now understands why Mana was acting weird. Not wanting to leave him alone she of course goes for it.

J-j-j-j-j-j-j-j-j-jam it in!

But wait, it doesn’t end there, the best part is yet to come!

LOLOLOLOLOL! AYA JAMED THE SUPPOSITORY INTO HIM, AND HE GOT A FREAKIN’ ERECTION!!!!

This is where I freaking LOL’d on the ground. Oh man, too damn hilarious. BEST.H.SCENE.EVAR!

Aya then proceeds to driving shift and doing a bit of clean up. Through the whole ordeal, Saki was completely out cold and never woke up. ‘Till now he has no idea this happened!

My first route in se.kirara turned out to be the best damn route. That’s right, I can confidentially say that without having to go through the other ones. A huge part is because of the scene up there, but also because the other girls didn’t interest me as much as Aya did (and Nozomi). Her upbeat personality and character had me at her introduction. Her story was rather bland, nothing great or dramatic.

Basically, she ran away from home and stayed with Saki because her sword branding yakuza father wanted her to attend a marriage interview. All she had to do was attend and not accept the proposal. So things escalated, she ran away, stayed with Saki. Then Yuu pointed out she just had to tell her father she has a boyfriend and doesn’t need a marriage interview. Saki of course was the chosen candidate (they did all the could to keep their living together a secret) and things kinda got a bit better. But then got dramatic when Saki and Aya were confronted about their relationship. They weren’t being honest with themselves and were never an official couple (despite going at it like bunnies). Aya got in a fight with Yuu as she was confronted by her and ran away yet again.

And this is the climax. She bumped into some hoodlums and taken hostage for no other reason than to meet the plot device needed to get Aya and Saki to finally say their true feeling to each other. The guys promised to release Aya if Saki won a game, he had to endure the beatings of them without a single act of resistance or counter attack. Doing so would get Aya hit in the face. So Saki was beaten to a pulp, Aya’s daddy came in the nick of time (thanks to the cats), and all’s well that ends well.

Overall, I enjoyed this visual novel. It wasn’t anything overly dramatic but it was a nice story. A good choice for someone like me who is testing the water of the eroge visual novel pool.

This won’t really change my mind of what I think of visual novels, but it led it into a good direction. So next up I think I’ll give Flyable Heart a try for the sole reason of I love the art. NOIZI ITO IS LOVE!

Maybe afterwards I tackle this game again and go down Nozomi’s route and unlock her mystery.
