“The Japanese website of the Amuri in Star Ocean video anime series has posted a new promotional video (high or low quality). This “super-dimensional original science-fiction anime” was written and created by director Yoshitomo Yonetani (Betterman, Brigadoon, GaoGaiGar: King of Braves) with music by Mina Kubota (Kannazuki no Miko, Shattered Angels, Kaleido Star). It will be the first anime designed by MA@YA, a 3D computer graphics artist known for modelling female characters.”
“The story is set in Year 019 of the Insonity Progressive Revolution, a future era in which mankind has evolved into a new species called Adapters. Three Adapter girls — 13-year-old Amuri from Japan, 12-year-old Suzu from China, and 14-year-old Perrier from France — set out on a space adventure that will affect the rest of their species. A special program will air in Japan on March 31, and the first DVD will ship on May 23.”

Hella yeah! I’ve been dying to hear Makino Yui as Amuri ever since the “Yacchaouyo!” image album! A “Genki” Makino Yui is what I really want to hear more off!
As for the promo video, it look interesting, but I’m not really a fan of 3D anime, sometimes it impedes the visual attraction of the scene, and sometimes it just feel cheesy and weird, but we’ll see how this goes. Good thing is that it looks more cell shaded than 3D. ^_^
