So Mikage broke up with Kanon because he found out they were blood related siblings, and twins at that. And now he’s looking at Ruby differently, watching her every move from the shadows. A little creepy.

But then he asked Jewelina-sama, mother of all jewelpets, if a Jewelpet and a human can be together.

Jewelpet Sunshine – The Ship Sinks

So yeah, turns out Mikage and Kanon are not only blood related siblings, but twins. Kanon was handed over to the Mizushiro household when she was very young because the Shiraishi family head {?}, their grandmother, was a crazy old lady who thought Kanon would bring bad luck (calamity) to the Shiraishi family as she was born with an odd hair whirl.

The parents didn’t want to do that, but the crazy old lady got more and more stubborn about it and fearing harm would come to their children, their parents had no choice but to entrust Kanon to another family.

So yeah, finding this out, Mikage and Kanon had no choice but to break up. D:

This was an emotional episode, and glad to see Kanon back to her usual self. Sad to see a ship I supported go down and sink.

Also, if it ever becomes Ruby X Mikage… I’m going to rage so fuckin’ much!

Jewelpet Sunshine – Finally, the Reason

So Mikage and Kanon here make a cute couple right? They’ve been going out since episode 23/24, but there was always a disapproval by Kanon’s mother. Why does she not allow Kanon to get close to Mikage? Is there some family rivalry between the two families?

Well, in episode 45, we finally get the reason why Kanon’s mother is completely against it.

Jewelpet Sunshine – Great Laughs!

Mmmm~ Frienship.

Oh man, I wonder how many guts I busted from all the laughter after watching ELEVEN consecutive episodes of Jewelpet Sunshine! Never would I thought this type of anime would be this hilariously entertaining. I thought it would be kiddy show about friendship and such, but it turned out being a comedy with slap stick humor. Cute furry things flying across the screen, into space/walls/etc, and crash landing back to the ground is just too damn funny.

Also, I expected it to at least have some sort of ‘moral of the story’ kind of thing…but even at the end of the fraud filled newspaper club and their fake stories, they didn’t even address that it is wrong and ended it with the club president laughing maniacally! lol

I’ve been waiting to see the final episode of Ano Hana, but the subbers I watch it from (UTW) haven’t released it yet, and to have time pass by faster I tried watching the first episode of Jewelpet Sunshine, and the rest is history. No regrets, had great laughs~!
