My first post using “Windows Live Writer”

There’s a perfectly good reason for this. Make that two. One is because I was curious about this program, the second is because I have to. “Why do you have to though?” Well, that’s because I’m using the “Opera” browser and it won’t let me write into the post area thing. {After going back and trying again, now I can type into the area.}

“53RG10, I thought you swore loyalty to FireFox!?” I did, but two days ago, for some reason FireFox didn’t display any web sites. I messed around with my Router and my connection making sure everything was fine. After hours of messing around my computer, I had yet to find a solution. I tried Internet Explorer, but also did not displayed anything.

I then realized that every other computer on the apartment worked fined. The Desktop in the Living Room and my brother’s Laptop were working fine. What was it that made only wireless Internet work? I couldn’t find a solution. I thought it was only my computer, but every other program that required and Internet connection were able to connect. LastFM, Messenger Programs, uTorrent, they all worked fine. I decided to try a different browser from those two. One that came to mind was Opera, because I heard that Nintendo uses it in their Wii browser.

“If you couldn’t access the web, how did you downloaded the Opera browser?” I used my PSP. After I saved it on the Memory Stick, I connected to the computer via USB and ran the program. After intallation, I was hoping it would work, and it did. I’m still trying to figure out what’s wrong with FireFox and Internet Explorer. I’ve been all over posting in forums for solutions. {Re-installation of FireFox didn’t work.}

Opera is a bit slower than FireFox, you can hardly notice, but I notice because I use the Internet almost every day. Luckily, Opera also has some features that I always used with FireFox, like RSS alerter or IRC Chat Client. {It works fine, I even tried XDCC stuff!!}

I wonder how long ’till a solution surfaces…

Anyway, about “Windows Live Writer.”

This is a great program and it’s easy to use/install. And accessing your blog is as easy as just opening the program. Once you enter your password and blog address, you can open the program and start blogging right away. You can also check your stats and view your comments.

This is officially my 2nd post but I’ll label it as my first post {I published it first than the other one.} Messing around with the options and features, you’ll realize it’s the same as WordPress. Some features are better than that of WordPress. Like the “Insert Picture…” one. When you resize the image, you can keep it scaled by checking a mark that say’s something like “Keep Scale Ratio” or something.

This would’ve been a short blog if it wasn’t for me talking about FireFox and Opera. ^_^’
